His breath danced over her throat, soft, warm. It didn’t help the tremble that ran through her body, even with the weight of him pressed down on her. She was nervous.
She wanted this, but what if she wasn’t enough? What if she wasn’t good enough? What if he was disappointed? Disgusted?
“You’re doing it again…” He stopped and rose up on one of his elbows and looked down at her, his free hand moving to gently cup her face. “We can stop if it’s too soon, if you’re not ready.”
“No, it’s not that, it’s just what if I’m not…”
“Hey.” He leaned in and brushed his lips gently against hers. “There is nothing you will not be. I love you, I desire you. Trust me on this, I’ve told you before, you will not disappoint me. It doesn’t matter who I was with before, it doesn’t matter what we did. My focus is on you now, I want to make you feel good, make you feel desired, make you feel so good you forget your own name from crying out mine.” His smile turned cheeky. “We can stop until you’re ready.”
“No.” She bit her lip and looked up at him. “I am ready, I guess no matter when I’ll always have these doubts.”
“Then let me help you get rid of those doubts.” He leaned in and kissed her again, his hand sliding down her curves, causing a gasp against his lips from her as his palm smoothed over her breast. He pulled back, breaking the kiss to look her over, his lips returning to her throat again when he was sure she was sure she wanted this. Her fingers curled around the silver chain that hung from his neck, tugging it as her back arched up off the mattress, her body showing him without words that she desired him as much as he desired her.
“I love you.” She murmured, the word turning into a whimper as his hand slid down her body. “I’m ready.”
